The assessment process.
HelpKidzLearn Hub underwent a manual assessment, meticulously reviewing data practices and security protocols against security guidelines and regulations. Comprehensive documentation was submitted for iKeepSafe's expert review, detailing data collection, user agreements, and security measures. Optional penetration testing was conducted to identify and address vulnerabilities. Based on iKeepSafe's findings, we implemented a small number of necessary updates and are now ongoing regular monitoring to stay aligned with evolving regulations. This independent verification process demonstrates our commitment to exceeding the highest standards for data privacy compliance.

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) is a federal law in the United States that governs how websites and online services collect, use, and disclose personal information from children under the age of 13. COPPA requires websites to obtain verifiable parental consent before collecting any personal information from a child. What is FERPA?
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law in the United States that protects the privacy of student educational records. FERPA grants parents certain rights regarding their child's educational records, including the right to inspect and review those records, and the right to request that any inaccurate or misleading information be corrected.

The California Student Privacy Certified (CSPC) goes beyond the federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) to encompass the stricter student data privacy regulations of California, specifically the California Student Privacy Alliance (CSPA) legislation (AB 1584). Earning CSPC certification demonstrates that the HelpKidzLearn Hub adheres to these comprehensive standards, providing an extra layer of assurance for parents and educators concerned about student data privacy in California.

Compliance requires schools to obtain clear and verifiable consent from parents before collecting any student data, and students over the age of 13 have the right to access and delete their personal information. We are pleased to be recognised as “Approved for use / No Data Collected” in the Student Data Privacy Consortium (SDPC) Resource Registry for multiple states. With over 12,000 member school districts accessing this registry, schools can confidently use HelpKidzLearn knowing that no student data (PII) is collected.
Student Online Personal Protection Act (SOPPA).
HelpKidzLearn does not collect, store, or process any student information. Access to our learning content is always managed through the HelpKidzLearn Hub, which has been built with privacy and safety in mind at every step. Because we don’t handle or process student data, there’s no need for SOPPA-specific or district-specific privacy agreements.
