A lot has been happening at HelpKidzLearn lately, so we’ve pulled everything together in one easy round-up. From product updates and new activities to free resources, privacy news and awards recognition, here’s what’s new.
We’ve made some helpful updates to Student Profiles in HelpKidzLearn, giving you more control over personalisation, analytics and the learner experience. These improvements make it easier to shape HelpKidzLearn around individual needs, whether you want a calmer activity experience, clearer profile guidance or more flexibility around progress tracking. Highlights include: • more control over whether learner analytics are recorded • clearer guidance within the profile interface • better support for temporary and individual profiles • new options to create a calmer, less distracting experience for some learners One especially useful update is the option to turn off activity completion reward animations and sounds in Sensory Space, Games & Activities and Inclusive Stories. For learners who are sensitive to sound, or for moments where you want a more regulated experience, this gives you another simple way to tailor activities more thoughtfully.
We’ve released a brand-new Spring Activity Pack to help you bring spring themes into your sessions with less prep and more meaningful interaction. It combines HelpKidzLearn activities with simple printables, sensory ideas and practical extensions, so you can quickly build fuller sessions around topics like animals, growth, weather, colour, music and movement. Inside, you’ll find: • spring-themed sensory session ideas • song and rhyme extensions • animal and mini beast activities • simple sequencing and life cycle ideas • communication-friendly resources and prompts • spring-themed ChooseIt Maker share codes It’s designed to support learners with a wide range of special educational needs and can be used with switches, touchscreens and eye gaze.
Sensory Space has continued to grow, with a fresh mix of new activities across Switch, Explore and Control. Milky Way and Dance bring two new Switch activities to the platform. Milky Way offers a calm, space-themed experience, while Dance brings plenty of feel-good energy through music and movement. Beat Pad and Slime are new Explore activities, giving learners more opportunities to move, activate and discover what happens next through motivating sensory feedback. Light Flare and Clouds add two new Control activities, helping learners build cause and effect through press-and-hold interaction, with customisable colours and music to suit different needs and preferences. We’ve also added Student Analytics for Control, making it easier to track sustained activations, interaction duration, interaction frequency and interaction location during press-and-hold sessions.
We’ve launched a brand-new ChooseIt Maker Share Codes booklet, packed with 115 ready-to-play activities. The booklet is organised into celebrations, seasonal themes and all-year topics, making it easier to quickly find something meaningful for the moment you’re planning for. Inside, you’ll find: • celebrations, themed days and awareness moments • all-year themes like animals, feelings, communication, routines and change • seasonal activities for spring, summer, autumn and winter It’s a handy resource when you want activities that support choice making, communication and accessible participation without starting from scratch.

We were delighted to be named Highly Commended in the SEND and Inclusion Resources & Services category at the Bett Awards 2026. The judges highlighted HelpKidzLearn’s accessibility, usability and strong pedagogical foundation, recognising how the platform supports learners through multiple access methods including touch, switches, mouse and eye gaze. It was a proud moment for the whole team and a lovely reflection of the collaboration behind HelpKidzLearn with educators, therapists and families.
