We’ve added a brand-new US Money category to the ChooseIt Readymades Numeracy series, designed especially for learners with special educational needs (SEN).
A brand-new addition to ChooseIt Readymades
We’re excited to launch a brand-new US Money category in the ChooseIt Readymades Numeracy series. This set includes 26 interactive activities and over 500 pages of multiple-choice questions, all designed to support learners with special educational needs (SEN). From recognising and naming US coins, to adding up sets of coins, shopping, and calculating change, learners can build confidence through accessible, structured progression.
Coin Recognition
Learners begin with simple recognition tasks – finding coins, matching them, and hearing their names. With visuals and audio prompts, learners build familiarity with 1¢, 5¢, 10¢, 25¢ and $1 coins in fun, rewarding ways.
Counting & Adding
Step by step, learners progress to adding and comparing coin values – from pennies up to totals of $2. Activities are broken into clear, accessible stages, helping learners practise numeracy skills at their own pace.
Shopping & Change
Learners put their money skills into practice through engaging shopping scenarios – choosing what they can buy with 50¢ or $1, and working out change. These real-world tasks help learners gain confidence with everyday independence.
Monkey Business
The yellow monkey becomes an entrepreneur! This playful round-up activity gives learners a chance to practise what they’ve learned in a fun, motivating way.
