We are pleased to announce that Inclusive Stories has been named BETT Award Winner for SEND Resources Products & Services 2023.
Inclusive Technology, provider of learning technologies supporting children with special educational needs, today announced that Inclusive Stories was named a 2023 BETT Award Winner in the SEND Resources Products & Services category. Winners represent products and services that make a distinct contribution to supporting learners with special educational needs.
Inclusive Stories is an online, computer assisted software subscription that allows parents (at home) or teachers, therapists and support staff (within a school or organisation) to provide engaging, lovingly animated and narrated sensory stories and printable resources, for learners with a wide range of educational needs.
Inclusive Stories is available at HelpKidzLearn.com and is the creation of Pete Wells, an award-winning special educational needs teacher and senior leader. Pete wrote Inclusive Stories so that educators can provide sensory experiences for children and adults of all ages and abilities: including learners with severe and complex special needs, physical disabilities, sensory impairments or learning difficulties.
“Sensory experiences and play help students to learn more about the world around them and supports language development as they learn to respond to different stimuli. Sensory play encourages learning through exploration, curiosity, problem solving and creativity,” explains Pete.
“It was extremely important to me that everyone was able to ‘become’ the storyteller,” said Pete. “This is incredibly empowering for the learners and excellent for developmental processes such as cause and effect and communication. Inclusive Technology have done a wonderful job of facilitating that.”
The Bett Awards are a celebration of the inspiring creativity and innovation that can be found throughout technology for education.
