Talking Parrot
Microphone required.
This game makes it great fun to practise speaking and listening! Record your own voice using a microphone. The friendly parrot will listen while you talk then speak your words while moving his beak in time with the sounds. Listen for his cheerful squawks before and after each sentence! This activity is accessible using a one or two switches or a mouse.
Rene:
It is a fantastic tool to encourage my special needs students with speech impediments to talk and even read short sentences to the parrot!
Hilz from NZ:
Polly and I are having great conversations! I admit I am using an integrated mic in my laptop which makes it a breeze and totally accessible. We're onto singing to each other now-in TUNE! Love it thanks!
Debbie:
My laptop doesn't recognise the microphone - I've tried plugging it in before opening the activity and during - still not working.
cleospike:
It keeps telling me there is no microphone connected but there is. Same when I try it on my laptop with an inbuilt one. (switched on)
Any ideas?
David from Leicester:
@Terri and Chris, We are having the same problem, I believe Adam is looking into it
